You commit yourself to making a video of yourself practicing for 100 days, and sending it out to the internet world.
I decided to do this, partially because I met (virtually) a piano-lover, who’s been teaching himself how to play by watching YouTube videos. He posts his own practice everyday, and he is doing a remarkable job with an amazing persistence and determination.
So, I thought – maybe I could help!
I am focusing my videos on how to practice effectively, achieving maximum results with least efforts, and time.
Today was my Day 2.
I play the entire Aeolian Harp (Chopin’s Etude, Op. 25-1) without any use of the pedal, and explain as to why. I feel very vulnerable sharing it with the world. Please do consider buying my album, Chopin to Japan, which includes this etude as a selection.
