I will be driving a “pianovan” – an upright piano in a van – around the San Francisco Bay Area between Monday, Nov. 15 to Friday, Nov. 19th to try to reach isolated and/or underserved communities with the power of music that I believe can help. Genocides and Demon Slayer

For over a century, Armenians have observed April 24th as the Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day. On the day this year, the Biden administration formerly acknowledged 1.5 million Armenians as victims of genocide by the Ottoman Empire. It follows the U.S. government of accusation of China for genocide against the Uighurs in January.

An Op-Ed I co-authored on Music and Wellness

Music helps everyone, even the intubated ICU patients, regulating their breaths, reducing their sedative intakes, saving the hospital over $2,300 per patients on average. But during this pandemic, many music therapists were furloughed or fired. The piece then gives some examples to be followed from California Arts Council and the City of San Francisco. These are funding proposals for community engagements and public health campaigns especially for communities hardest hit by the pandemic.
