Travel Days

I got up at 5:30AM this morning. I showered, packed, took care of things around the house. I devoted an hour to practicing between 7-8. I like practicing in the morning, even just for a little tiny bit. I feel like my brain continues to work on the work I started in the morning, throughout the day. I ate a hearty breakfast with lots of fruits. I left home at 8:30.

The 35 miles that would take 45 minutes without traffic took an hour and a half. I like listening to NPR when I drive. The airport was like a zoo! Such long lines to the restrooms, and I tried several. My flight left on time at 11:45. I read Jane Eyre, and watched “Dr. Ruth.” I’ve been wanting to watch it for a long time – glad Delta had Hulu!

The flight was smooth. Took a nap as soon as I arrived at my Airbnb for the night. I didn’t get to bed until a bit after midnight, after the Beethoven 9th at Hollywood Bowl last night. Now, I am waiting for my friend to pick me up for dinner!

Seattle is a beautiful city. Although I only get to enjoy a glimpse of it this time around, it brings back memories of my time here as a US-Japan Leadership delegate last summer.
