“Treat others the way you want to be treated,” didn’t our teachers tell us? The first mention of the Golden Rule we know of today apparently is in hieroglyphics from around 2,000BC from ancient Egypt. We have records of the same idea uttered by philosophers and moralists and spiritual leaders from all over the world across time, space and cultures.
Especially now, when the news about conflicts and disasters add to our anxiety about our future uncertainties, we need to harness the power of music, and deploy musicians at reenforcing our human bond.

Perhaps the sounds that give us the most satisfying sense of peace is the sounds of music, I’ve come to think these days. No matter what is going on in the outside world, in the time and space we cherish music together, we belong, at peace.
