LA Times dedicated its podcast episode to Tempo: Music for Climate Action, a coalition of physical and social scientists and musicians to enhance more climate awareness and action with the power of music. I have been a part of it since the very beginning, before we had a name for it. Rosanna Xia, LA Times’ environmental report and 2020 Pulitzer Prize finalist, titled it with a question “Can music inspire more people to care about climate change?”
Our portion of the interview took place last month, before I left for Japan. She and her audio engineering team even stopped at my house to record my playing, several short clips of which are included in the podcast.
Please give this 30-minute podcast a listen, and share it with people you love. We think it’s urgent and important.
