2024 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Nihon Hidankyo, a grassroots organization of atomic bomb survivors for its efforts to achieve a world free of nuclear weapons through witness testimonies of the weapons’ capacity to cause catastrophic destruction and human suffering.
