My religious friends tell me that they pray for me, or ask me to pray for them. Being spiritual-but-not-religious, I don’t know what to say. I want my friends to know that I wish them all the best, especially now. I lost a friend a few weeks ago. I have a friend whose due date was last week. I have friends fighting illnesses, and other challenges. Finding myself thinking about my friends every time I play these days, I started wondering if playing the piano is my way of offering prayers. Maybe when people tell me that they’ll be praying for me, I can tell them “And I will be PLAYING for you!”
