今日は6月19日：Juneteenth（June nineteenthの略）という黒人奴隷解放の歴史を祝う祝日です。別名Freedom Day（自由の日） , Jubilee Day（歓喜の日）, Cel-Liberation Day （Celebration＝「祝い」とLiberation「自由化」を足して二で割った造語）or the Black Fourth of July（黒人の7月4日（＝独立記念日））などとも呼ばれているようです。
