Today, I finally got an approval from Rice University to use the concert hall (1,000 seats) to do afundraising concert on Monday, Apr. 4th at 8pm! But now that I got the approval, it seems like the whole university is involved. The public relations office called a meeting tomorrow at 2;30pm.I am attending. It is a little bit exciting. Many of the faculty members expressed their willingness to perform at this concert. Organizations like JAGH (Japanese Associations of Greater Houston) are offering their help to us. Through this process of trying to organize this concert, I have also became acquainted with many of the Japanese musicians around Houston area. I never meant this project to be self-serving, but it’s become a very good project for me!
